In Feb09 I purchased MacSpeech for my new iMac and did so on the numerous positive comments from Mac users. If you search these forums however you will uncover the real truth of the lack of service and compatibility MacSpeech has with OSX 10, and now Snow Leopard. I have not, for a single useful moment been able to use this software since then, and am now faced with havng to upgrade in order to get it to work - of course at my cost.
The final response I got from MacSpeech in the spring suggested I try to sell the software myself, since they would not return my money, and now this. Simply, this is a company that does not understand customer service or quality assurance.
"OMG - NOTHING is easy with this company. The sales process stopped me to say I have not registered my original piece of software, yet I have the original email sent to me saying I did just that. So I press buy anyway and then it shows 2 upgrades in my cart! Of course, I then discover it is not downloadable, so the cost will probably be another $100 for new CDs shipping and taxes here in Canada.
But yet, I canceled the sale because I installed SL and the MacSpeech will not even load, so I am rather concerned it will NOT be able to update at all, even with new CDs in hand.
I spend $1,000s every year on software for my business and even though $200, then another $100 for an upgrade (on software I never got working in the first place) isn't really a lot in the grand scheme of things, I still feel jilted beyond normal anger levels of how little my business mattrs to MacSpeech.
At this point I cannot honestly tell as a willing, paying customer who really, REALLY wants this product to work, if MacSpeech is in need of a customer service manager or quality assurance manager more. It's a toss up.
Stuck in limbo again."
- God help me, but I am actually thinking of giving MacSpeech more money. « MacSpeech Forums and Discussion (view on Google Sidewiki)
